com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9956

When downloading video from my iPhone to my Mac using Image Capture, I sometimes (but not always) get the error, “The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9956.) (-9956)”. This is how I work around this error.

Mac OS X Screenshot Interface Options.

How To Remove the Mac OS X Screenshot Delay

In Mac OS X version 10.14 Mojave, when taking a screenshot a thumbnail is displayed for a few seconds before the file is created. Unfortunately I don’t want this delay. I take a lot of screenshots (using `Command` + `Shift` + `4`) and typically want to upload the image without making any changes, making this delay frustrating. This is how I removed the delay.

SSH after Mac OS X Update

Mac Change Screenshot Location

I’ve always been frustrated by my screenshots being written to my desktop. I don’t have the personal discipline to stay on top of deleting them regularly and therefore end up with an extra messy desktop. What I wanted was to have all my screenshots created in a folder. We these commands you can change this setting.

Stop Annoying Mac Updates Available
