Hide PDF Toolbar in Google Chrome

Last updated on January 14, 2019 by Sal Ferrarello

The PDF Toolbar that comes up in Google Chrome when displaying a PDF, which displays Filename, Page Number, Rotate Button, Download Button, and Print Button can be suppressed by adding #toolbar=0 to the end of the URL.

It appears this is based on Adobe supported Parameters for Opening PDF Files. I don’t know how many other parameters are supported.

Thanks a lot, but is there any way of selecting _two page view_ option after hiding the toolbar?

Re HIDE PDF Toolbar in Google Chrome, please give more details. Where do you enter: #toolbar=0 and can it be made permanent?

Thank you for this information and wow what a pain that the Google Chrome browser doesn’t offer this as a simple button you press. With all the hundreds of thousands of Google employees you’ve gotta wonder what these people do all day that none of them can implement such a simple fix like that.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work anymore. I think it’s since Update to version 111 of Google Chrome (at least in Windows).
